Skiing in New Jersey
Who knew there was skiing in the Garden State? It’s not exactly what comes to mind when thinking of a weekend winter sport getaway destination. However, New Jersey has at least five spots to enjoy some downhill action, according to Ski Central. One spot, Mountain Creek, is located a mere hour’s drive from New York City in Vernon, New Jersey. Vernon is also home to Hidden Valley. There’s also Campgaw Mountain in Bergen County and High Point Cross Country Ski Center in Sussex.
